Egremont Rugby Footbal Club are recruiting for a new Senior Men’s Head Coach.

Position start date : The position will be to start Pre-Season for the 2025/26 season.

 Reporting to: The General Committee.   

Job Purpose: To oversee ,develope and implement an ambitious coaching stratergy to ensure the success of me at men’s rugby at Egremont RUFC.

 Job Description:  The primary role of the candidate will be to ensure the success and development of the men’s senior playing squad. You will ideally have a proven track record in coaching rugby and gaining results and a good understanding of what it takes to run an ambitious rugby programme.

  Main Duties and Responsibilities : 

• Plan and lead training sessions and oversee match days with a tactical vision for performance.
• Develope individuals’skill set, confidence and fitness levels.
• Retain existing players, provide an easy  transistion of our under18 players into senior level rugby, and work to recruit new players at all levels of ability.
• Liase with other coaches where appropriate.
• Provide feedback to coaches ,players and General Committee.

Candidate Specific: 

• Experience of leading ,planning and delivering coaching sessions and analytical information.
• Player centred/match day approach to coaching and player development.
• Good knowledge and understanding of up-to-date coaching practices and laws.
• Experience of player recruitment as the club would like to act as an attractive opportunity for players in the local area.

Club goals: Continue to be highly competative in Counties 1 Cumbria with a long term goal to play competitively at Regional level.
